This story had me spellbound. Lots of twists and turns. The ending turned out to be very different than how I was picturing it, which was a good surprise. The characters are unique, and their 'misfit' status makes them completely loveable. It was a joy at the end when they all came together, gave themselves a name, and are already looking into another adventure together. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
I know this was written for young readers but I couldn’t put it down. I purchased this book for my Niece and decided to preview it a bit before giving it to her. Before I knew it, I was more than half way through. A fun reminder of how magical and special we all are. I hope the mud street misfits have more adventures soon.
I was lucky enough to be introduce to this book by one of the authors. I read it in less than a day. It is a great read for the young and the old and everyone in between.
I purchased this book for a gift for a twelve year-old boy. The title, the design of the cover, plus wanting to leave an accurate review had me reading it prior to gifting. It was a fabulously, fun, age appropriate eeriness, thought provoking story. The descriptions through out the story had me completely immersed in the characters and their experiences. Will post again when I get feed back from the boy whom will be reading it. Can't wait for the next Mud Street Misfits adventure.
My 7 year old and I loved this book! It has adventure, intrigue, humor, is educational and spiritual. We started reading it together and he loved it so much he went ahead and finished it without me and I had to borrow it from him to finish it myself. It was the kind of book you think about when you aren't reading, it stays with you, which in my mind constitutes a good read. Definitely recommend this book, we eagerly look forward to the next one!!
